CK-1 Dry Reed Level Switch

Overview

The CK-1 reed type liquid level switch is used in conjunction with the UHZ-XH800 series magnetic flap level gauge, installed on the display panel of the magnetic flap level gauge for controlling or alarming the liquid level.

Structural Principle

The liquid level switch installed on the magnetic flap level display panel and the level gauge are in the same magnetic coupling system. The float inside the main tube of the level gauge moves up and down with the change in liquid level. When the float approaches the liquid level switch from below, the magnet inside the float acts on the reed switch inside the guide rod, sending an on/off signal. The normally open reed switch closes when in the magnetic field and opens when outside the magnetic field. The normally closed reed switch opens when in the magnetic field and closes when outside the magnetic field.

Usage Notes

The reed type liquid level switch can be directly connected to the instrument alarm circuit system, such as a flash alarm, PLC system, or DCS system. When used in an intrinsic safety system, an isolating safety barrier must be employed.
